Robert W. (Bob) Davies, Chairman Emeritus
Bob Davies career in property and condominium management began in 1969. Five years later, he founded Condominium First. Bob brings a valuable perspective, representing years of practical experience and success for clients. His reputation for leadership is highly regarded within the industry and community. Bob is recognized as a Charter Member of the Canadian Condominium Institute, Southern Alberta Chapter. He has served as Chairman of the Multi-Family Council of the Canadian Homebuilders Association. He was founding President of the Southern Alberta Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management. He was also a member of the Calgary Homebuilders Association Board of Directors for 15 years. Bob has long been an active member within the Calgary community. Since 1969, he has volunteered with the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede and is a Senior Associate and shareholder. He is currently serving on the Corporate Relations Committee. Bob also volunteered with the 1988 Winter Olympics Committee and served as a member of the Start Crew for the Cross Country Races at Canmore Nordic Centre. Local and national speaking engagements
Donald C. (Don) Davies, President and C.E.O.
Don Davies provides the people of Condominium First with effective and respected leadership. Don's involvement with Condominium First spans over four decades. He first began to manage the company in 1978. Throughout his career, Don has demonstrated a passion for personal development, performance and achievement. He has earned several designations in disciplines including business, accounting, real estate, condominium management, property management and reserve fund planning. Don is past President of the Calgary Region Homebuilders Association (CRHBA). He is a past executive member of the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC) Calgary Chapter and past Chairman of the CRHBA Multi-Family Council. Don is an active community member and volunteer. He is a Senior Associate and shareholder of the Calgary Stampede, currently serving on the Caravan Committee. He has also served on the Calgary Committee to End Homelessness (Implementation Subcommittee) and the Heritage Park Building Committee. Degrees and designations:
Linda Grey Martin, General Manager - AlbertaEmployed by Condominium First since 1990, Linda was first hired as a community manager. Through years of successfully managing a portfolio of condominiums, she was promoted to Senior Community Manager. Fulfilling this role successfully led to her promotion to the role of General Manager. Linda brings to Condominium First a background in office management, recruitment and training in addition to experience in commercial property management. She has attained her ACCI designation through the Canadian Condominium Institute and has successfully completed the Condominium Management Certification Course at Mount Royal University. Linda Herkert, Accounting ManagerLinda Herkert brings over 30 years of management and accounting experience to the Condominium First Management Team. She has worked in a diverse range of industries, from public accounting to hotel management. Linda has been recognized with numerous awards for her business and personal achievements in the areas of public speaking, business management, training and facilitation. Roger J. Davies, Vice President, Business Development and Information TechnologyRoger has over 20 years of Information Technology and Business Development experience. Roger is tasked with implementing the new technologies that will ensure Condominium First remains at the forefront of providing innovative and unique services to clients. Roger is also responsible for overseeing the Edmonton and Fort McMurray regions. A Bachelor of Commerce degree in management information systems, numerous technology certifications and a real estate license round out Roger's qualifications. Ron Stonier, Community Manager, Canmore, Banff, CochraneRon has a record of successfully managing a portfolio of condominium corporations located in the Bow Corridor. Ron and his family have lived in Canmore for the past 20 years. During 15 years of that time, Ron was a very successful entrepreneur running his own business and establishing relationships with contractors and suppliers. Ron is known as a person dedicated to integrity and timely completion of projects. A graduate of the Condominium Management Course at Mount Royal University, Ron continues his education by taking courses though the Canadian Condominium Institute. Sandra Pearce, Manager, Fort McMurray RegionSandra Pearce has lived in Fort McMurray since 2002. Prior to joining Condominium First, she managed rental properties with ever increasing management responsibilities for 7 years. She has taken Condominium Management courses at Keyano College and continuing courses though the Canadian Condominium Institute. Sandra has established herself as a trusted and reliable business person, known as someone who could get the job done. She has learned to build trust through a commitment to integrity and timely completion of projects. Her knowledge of local issues as well as established relations with contractors and suppliers ensure the expectations of our customers will be met. Sandra is backed up by an administrative assistant, a property accounting assistant plus experienced senior management. Dan Buckle, Manager, Edmonton RegionDan has lived in Alberta all of his life and has been involved in the Real Estate and property management industry in Alberta for over 30 years. Dan's hands on experience in condominium management, rental management, commercial management, new construction, building lease-ups, major renovations, under-performing properties, leasehold improvements, rental pools, office management and new business development give Condominium First a recognized leader in growing our Edmonton operation. Some of the highlights of his career include the office management of a successful Real Estate company, Regional Manager of a Property Management firm with a portfolio of over 6000 condominium units, and the complete renovations of large residential and commercial properties. Throughout his career Dan has formed excellent working relationships with numerous contractors and seasoned professionals in the Edmonton area. He has renewed those relationships in order to serve our clients at an extremely high level. He knows how important superior property maintenance is to resale value. Dan's focus is on customer service and he looks forward to the mutual success of Condominium First and Edmonton Clients. Community Managers:Our team of Community Managers are all graduates of the Mount Royal University Condominium Management Certificate Program and have completed the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI) coursework. Each manager works closely with the Board of Directors to manage the affairs of the condominium corporation. Their experience and support is invaluable to Board Members as they direct the day-to-day operations on behalf of all owners.
